Members of The Delux (PVA music students Caity Gyorgy – vocals, Jonathan Chavez – guitar, Keone Friesen – string bass and Graeme Newburn – drums) and Christian Bennet (PVA theatre student) participated in the Youth Blues Challenge put on by the Calgary Blues Music Association, One Yellow Rabbit/High-Performance Rodeo, and Alberta Theatre Projects during Life, Death and The Blues.
The Delux won in the jazz vocal category while Christian was one of the ten finalists. Congratulations to Caity, Jonathan, Keone, Graeme and Christian on their accomplishment.
The Delux will be performing at the Calgary Mid-Winter Blues Fest at the Kerby Centre on February 27th.
